Goal: to increase hand hygiene compliance of healthcare workers in the Memphis area
- Council to create a benchmark to determine current compliance rates against which to measure results of campaign
Communications will roll out in phases

- Preparation
- Launch (and ongoing after launch) – to be decided by council
Messages
- Handwashing is a proven method if reducing infections and increasing safety in the hospital setting.
- Memphis area hospitals are serious about increasing handwashing compliance, and this will be a major focus going forward.
- It will take administrative and physician leadership and widespread acknowledgement and commitment to make this campaign a success.
- We will be building our campaign upon proven successes at other healthcare institutions.
